How to track percentage complete of tasks in SharePoint?

SharePoint tasks lists are the best way to allocate, monitor and track the completion of a task and ensure that a given task is completed in a timely manner. SharePoint can show you the graphical progress of a task in terms of what percentage has been reported as complete.

In SharePoint, you can track the completion of a particular based on the percentage of work completed. Once a task is assigned; the owner gets the option to update the percentage of work completed.

Here is how you can do it:

  • First create a new task.
  • While assigning the task, you get the option to set % complete for the task based on which you can track the amount of that specific task completed.
  • As the work on the particular task will progess, the % of work completed can be updated here.
